Terms of Use
Last updated July 2, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Kids'Recall browser extension and website. By using Kids'Recall, you agree to them.
Acceptance of terms
By installing or using Kids'Recall, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the extension.
Eligibility
Kids'Recall is intended for adults. You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction to enter into these terms and to use the extension. It is not directed to children.
What Kids'Recall is
Kids'Recall is a free, informational tool that surfaces publicly available recall information from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) while you shop for children's products. It helps you notice potential recalls — it does not make purchasing decisions for you.
License to use Kids'Recall
Kids'Recall and its creators retain all rights, title, and interest in the extension, including its code, design, and content. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to install and use the extension for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, sell, redistribute, or create derivative works from it.
No guarantee of accuracy
A “Possible Recall” alert means a product appears to match an entry in the recall database based on available details. It is not a confirmation. Recall data may be incomplete, delayed, or change over time. Always verify directly with the CPSC and the product manufacturer before relying on any result.
Not professional advice
Information provided by Kids'Recall is for general informational purposes only and is not legal, medical, or safety advice. You are responsible for your own purchasing decisions.
Disclaimer of warranties
Kids'Recall is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the extension will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time.
Availability and changes to the service
Kids'Recall is a free tool. We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue the extension — in whole or in part — at any time and without notice or liability. We are under no obligation to continue offering, maintaining, or updating it.
Independence and trademarks
Kids'Recall is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the CPSC, Amazon, or any product manufacturer. All product names, logos, and brands are property of their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.
Third-party services and links
The extension references recall data from the CPSC, operates on third-party websites such as online retailers, and is distributed through the Chrome Web Store. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, availability, policies, or practices of any third-party site, service, or data source. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms.
Acceptable use
You agree to use Kids'Recall only for lawful, personal purposes and not to misuse, reverse engineer, or disrupt the service in ways that could harm others or violate applicable law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kids'Recall and its creators are not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the extension — including decisions made based on recall information shown.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kids'Recall and its creators from any claims, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the extension or your violation of these terms or of applicable law.
General
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, make up the entire agreement between you and Kids'Recall regarding the extension and supersede any prior agreements. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
