Privacy Policy

We don't require an account, we don't track your browsing, and we don't sell or share your data. All matching between the products you view and the recall database happens locally on your device.

Kids'Recall does not collect personal information. We have no login system, so we never ask for your name, email, or payment details to use the extension. We do not maintain user profiles or shopping histories.

When you view a children's product, the extension compares details on the page — such as the product name, brand, or model — against a recall dataset sourced from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). This comparison runs entirely within your browser. The pages you visit are not sent to our servers.

The extension may store a copy of the recall dataset and your preferences locally so it can work quickly and offline. This data stays on your device and can be cleared at any time by removing the extension.

Kids'Recall requests only the permissions it needs to do its job:

• Access to supported shopping sites (currently Amazon): so the extension can read the product details on the pages you view and check them against recall data. It runs only on supported retail sites.
• Local storage: so it can keep a copy of the recall dataset and your preferences on your device for fast, offline checks.

Recall information originates from the CPSC. Kids'Recall is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the CPSC, Amazon, or any product manufacturer. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers inside the extension.

The use of information received from the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically: we do not sell your data; we do not transfer or use it for advertising or any personalized-ads purpose; and we do not use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending. Because matching runs locally on your device, no one reviews the pages you visit. We use the limited information the extension accesses solely to check products against recall data — the extension's single purpose.

Kids'Recall is a tool for adults shopping for children's products. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

If we update this policy, we'll revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the extension after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
